 I have about 12-15 designs for puzzles, so far all pandemic self portraits, in process. So, while I wait to paint more, I thought it might be interesting to show some of the process of how I get to an image ready to transfer print, then paint. So, this might include original photos (all iPhone images), photoshop processing and especially the method I've been developing for awhile for doing unusual halftones.

A Curious Interlude

This one is not going to be a puzzle. I post it here because I did notice one of the new images rather resembles, in mood and staging, an image I made about 25 years ago. The one on the left is a piece of glass screen printed and brush manipulated, while the right is a recent experiment in incorporating text with faces. If it's not immediately apparent, both images are done using a 'TK' signature as a halftone pattern.
